Good morning KINGDOM perception!
Here is your seed of the day: Ephesians 4:29-32
"29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you."
Gossip!
It plagues churches and it binds believers, and the lost, to a world of mischievousness and chaos. Why do I say that? Well, Ephesians 4 just told you. If your constantly spreading bad news and scandals, then your constantly around bad news. When would you have time to edify someone when your caught up in drama? The answer my friend is never. When you do such things, it grieves the Holy Spirit. Your evil talk about a person does not edify or uplift a person, it does the opposite. What Apostle Paul is reminding the Ephesian church in this scripture, is that when we talk about someone else's scandals, we must also remember the sins we have committed less we become hypocrites. How can we talk about what someone else is doing, when we once were doing the same? In many cases, we are still doing our own wrong while talking about other people. God can forgive all sins and he is no respecter of persons. If HE cleaned your mess, HE can do the same for others. They just have to be directed towards HIM; Jesus Christ and HE will clean them up.
Here is what you do: If you see someone acting a fool, go to them in love. Talk to them, ask them whats going on, then you can uplift and encourage them. After that person shares with you what they have been going through, don't go and share their business with your girlfriends, your boys or mama and them! That is gossip. Instead, take it in confidence/keep it to your self and pray for them. Take it to God and he will help them. If you do these things, you have now went from gossiper, to intercessor!
This is Kingdom perception, and a seed has just been planted.
